Dadvocates Workshop

The Family Network on Disabilities and Parents of the Panhandle Information Network (POPIN) are hosting a special outreach workshop for fathers of special needs children.

Join them on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Genesis Church for the Dadvocates Workshop.

Dadvocates is a network of dads that promotes the involvement of fathers in the lives of their children with disabilities. This workshop is intended to help start a group in Tallahassee. Specific workshop topics will include the following.

  • Father-to-Father Networking
  • Community Outings
  • Information and Resources
  • Role Models
  • Help With Personal Coping
  • Sense of Unity

The workshop will be presented by Wilfried C. Hoecke, a national trainer in fatherhood, respite, marriage, faith-based initiative and prevention of maltreatment of children with special needs.

The training is free and lunch will be provided. You can download the event flyer, register online and submit questions to the event contact below.
