The Family Network on Disabilities and Parents of the Panhandle Information Network (POPIN) are hosting a special outreach workshop for fathers of special needs children.
Join them on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Genesis Church for the Dadvocates Workshop.
Dadvocates is a network of dads that promotes the involvement of fathers in the lives of their children with disabilities. This workshop is intended to help start a group in Tallahassee. Specific workshop topics will include the following.
- Father-to-Father Networking
- Community Outings
- Information and Resources
- Role Models
- Help With Personal Coping
- Sense of Unity
The workshop will be presented by Wilfried C. Hoecke, a national trainer in fatherhood, respite, marriage, faith-based initiative and prevention of maltreatment of children with special needs.
