Separated from family and siblings, the holiday season can be a difficult and lonely time for the abused, neglected and abandoned children represented by the Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program.
Despite their circumstances and heartbreaking stories, these children and youth still anticipate the season like any other child. We want to ensure that their holidays are bright.
Each year, program staff and volunteers along with Guardian ad Litem Foundation Second Circuit, Inc. (GALF2), our nonprofit support organization, work with local businesses, community organizations and individuals to ensure that every child represented by our program receives gifts for the holiday season.
We need your help to meet this goal. Please join us for the 2021 Guardian ad Litem Holiday Gift Drive and help bring some holiday cheer and normalcy to a child in the community.

How It Works
Donations of gift cards, new gifts such as toys, games, bikes, scooters, dolls, and sports items, as well as cash donations are provided by our community partners. These donations are collected and provided to guardian ad litem volunteers to help bring a little bit of the holidays and normalcy to those represented by the Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program.
We have provided gift suggestions based on age and gender. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions still in place which can limit visiting children in person, we are encouraging gift cards again this year. Gift cards from stores such as Kohl's, Old Navy, Amazon, Target, and Walmart can allow the GAL volunteer to shop and ship gift purchases to the child's caregiver, or provide the gift card directly to the child. We also provide gift cards to children thirteen and over so that they can purchase things they personally choose.
We will be working to collect donations by Thursday, December 2, 2021 so the volunteers can get the gifts to the children by the holidays. However, donations are welcome after that date as well, since new cases and children in need will come in throughout the holidays.

Whether representing a company or supporting individually, we appreciate any assistance that you can offer. All donations to GALF2 are tax deductible. Donated funds will be used to purchase gift cards for children.
