The Power of Connection: How Resource Families Can Support Adolescents Through COVID-19 Crisis

The Florida Quality Parenting Initiative and Florida's Center for Child Welfare are hosting a continuing education webinar of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem and staff.

Join them on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM for The Power of Connection: How Resource Families Can Support Adolescents Through COVID-19 Crisis, the first event in the QPI COVID-19: The New Normal resource series.

The webinar will feature a conversation between national adolescent development expert Dr. Ken Ginsburg, MD, MSEd, Co-Director of the Center for Parent and Teen Communication at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Jennifer Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Youth Law Center. Dr. Ginsburg will be sharing the science behind why resource and foster families are so important to adolescents during this national crisis as well as practical tips and guidance for the best ways resource families — and all families — can support youth in foster care right now to weather this challenge and thrive.

Participants may receive one-and-a-quarter (1.25) hours of continuing education credit. Afterward, report your hours using Optima.
