Guide to Helping Adults Talk to Children About Sexual Abuse

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is hosting a continuing education webinar of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem, staff, parents and other caregivers.

Join them on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM for Guide to Helping Adults Talk to Children About Sexual Abuse.

A webinar in time for Child Abuse Prevention Month, this presentation will review multiple books that parents and professionals can use to discuss healthy sexual development and child sexual abuse prevention with children.

The presenters will review child sexual abuse prevention books designed to assist parents, caregivers and professionals in talking with children about their bodies, boundaries and using their voices. Each book will be rated to help participants decide whether to utilize these books with their own children or recommend them to them families with which they work.

The session will be conducted by Child Abuse Prevention Trainer Amber McKeen and Program Coordinator Kara Klein. Participants may receive one-and-a-quarter (1.25) hours of continuing education credit. Afterward, report your hours quickly and easily using our eForm.
