Brain-Based Sensory Motor Strategies For School and Home

Parents of the Panhandle Information Network (POPIN), Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS), Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) and the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region (ELCBB) are hosting an academic summit of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem.

Join them on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM for Brain-Based Sensory Motor Strategies For School and Home.

Summit participants will learn about

  • brain connections of developmental disorders and the relation to behavioral challenges, evidence-based treatment, support and practices;

  • the overlap between autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and auditory/visual processing disorders; and

  • positive behavior supports using the brain perspective.

The session will be conducted by Kathleen Berger, PT, MS, PhD founder and director of Kris' Camp, an intensive therapy program for children with autism and their families.

Participants may receive six-and-a-half (6.5) hours of continuing education credit. Afterward, report your hours quickly and easily using our eForm.
