The Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence (FCADV) is hosting a one-and-a-half day training program of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem, child welfare professionals, domestic violence advocates and community partners.
Join them on Tuesday, January 13 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for the Child Welfare Regional Training Panama City.
The training program has four key purposes.
- Enhance collaboration between certified domestic violence centers and child welfare agencies
- Build the capacity of child welfare and partnering agencies to assess for domestic violence
- Partner with domestic violence survivors to achieve child safety
- Appropriately safety plan with families experiencing domestic violence that are involved in the child welfare system
Participants will also receive training on the FCADV Child Protection Investigations Project, the Safe and Together Model and how to effectively integrate its principles, critical components and practice tools with the Florida Safety Methodology.
Participants may receive ten (10) hours of continuing education credit. Afterward, report your hours quickly and easily using our eForm.
