What You Really Need To Know About Being A Trauma-Informed Organization

Monday, September 22, 2014

The National Network to Eliminate Disparities (NNED) in Behavioral Health and Relias Learning are hosting a webinar of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem and staff.

Join them on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM for What You Really Need To Know About Being A Trauma-Informed Organization.

If it is not trauma-informed, it is not recovery-oriented or person-centered. Trauma-informed is not the new flavor of the month, but a change in culture and way of transforming an organization to live their mission, vision and values.

In this session you will learn how to make the case for trauma-informed care and how to lead your organization in joining the hundreds of organizations nationwide working toward this powerful culture change. You will start by building understanding of why being trauma-informed is critical, learn the seven domains of trauma-informed care and learn to set the stage for implementing a trauma-informed culture.

The webinar will be presented by Cheryl Sharp, Senior Advisor for Trauma-Informed Services at the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Participants may receive one-and-a-half (1.5) hours of continuing education credit. Afterward, report your hours quickly and easily using our eForm.

The training is free. Register online to participate.

We hope that you can make it!
