Parents of the Panhandle Information Network (POPIN) and the Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program are hosting a training of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem and staff.
Join us on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at our offices on Thomasville Road for Positive Beginnings with Positive Behavior Supports, part of our Exceptional Student Education Institute.
Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) is a school-wide intervention system designed to improve the behavior of children in all school environments. In this presentation, participants will learn the step-by-step PBS process.
- Establish a collaborative team and collect information
- Identify triggers, responses and the purpose of the child's behavior
- Design and implement behavior support plans
The training will be presented by Kathy Powell, Program Director of the Parents of the Panhandle Information Network, a program of the Family Network on Disabilities.
Participants may receive two (2) hours of continuing education credit. Afterward, report your hours quickly and easily using our eForm.
