The Florida Department of Children and Families Substance Abuse and Mental Health Program (SAMH) and the Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association are hosting a two-day workshop of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem.
Join them on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday, December 20, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM for Using Process Improvement Tools to Enhance Your System of Care.
The workshop will be presented by Mathew Roosa, ACSW, LCSW-R, Director of Planning and Quality Improvement with the Onondaga County Department of Mental Health in New York.
Workshop attendees will be introduced to a core set of process improvement ideas and tools that can be used to help their organizations and communities to grow, improve and change in an ever-changing environment. Through a range of interactive dialogues, hands-on exercises and practical planning activities, attendees will learn how to plan, measure and sustain simple improvements that have a big impact.
Participants will leave the workshop with a blueprint for a change that can be implemented in their own organization or community and will have the tools in hand to develop future change projects to insure future success.
The training is free. Participants may receive eleven (11) hours of continuing education credit. Remember, you can report your hours online quickly and easily.
