Two Sessions

The Family Network on Disabilities and the Florida Department of Health Children's Medical Services are hosting a continuing education event of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem, staff and community supporters.

Join them on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM or 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for Making Your Case.

Elected officials and those appointed to higher policy cabinets not only want your input but require it in their job. This workshop covers the basics of how to offer your input with impact and become an active member of the policy-making system.

Participants will learn the communication protocol to ensure that their message is delivered; what officials need to hear and — more importantly — what they do not need to hear.

Executive Director Richard La Belle of the Family Network on Disabilities will present the workshops. Attendees of the 12:00 PM session are encouraged to bring their lunches.

Participants may receive one (1) hour of continuing education credit. Remember, you can report your hours online quickly and easily.

The training is free. You can download the event flyer and register with the event contact below.

We hope to see you there!
