Thursday, September 26, 2013, 6-8 PM
The Independent Living Committee is sponsoring and the Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program is hosting an adapted National CASA Association training of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem.
Join us on Monday, September 23 and Thursday, September 26, 2013 for a customized version of Fostering Futures Curriculum: Supporting Youth Transitions into Adulthood, which focuses on improving outcomes for older and emancipating youth, those thirteen to nineteen.
The classroom sessions will be conducted by guardian ad litem volunteers Sharon Nicholson and Jan Watford.
Prior to the classroom sessions, participants are strongly encouraged to complete a self-paced online component that will help prepare attendees for the in-person training.
To participate, register with the event contact. They will provide you with the information required to access the online component and reserve your space for the classroom training. Both are free.
Participants may receive four (4) hours of continuing education credit for the online component and four (4) hours for the classroom training. Remember, you can report your hours online quickly and easily. Download the official flyer and register with the event contact below to attend the classroom sessions and/or the online training.
We hope to see you there!
