The Second Judicial Circuit is hosting a training of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem.
Join us on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM for Florida's Second Judicial Circuit: The Child's Journey Through the Court System, the latest in a series of dependency model court training programs.
Ten guest speakers — including Circuit Judge Karen Gievers, our own Volunteer Trainer Christine Gornik and a panel of mental health and service providers — will discuss how to help children in foster care before, during and after a court hearing, roles and responsibilities, the law and more.
All dependency stakeholders are invited to attend. This program is especially designed for those that work with children as they navigate through the court process.
You can download a program agenda with a complete schedule of topics, speakers and selected speaker biographies.
The training is free. To participate, please register with the event contact below. We have applied for continuing education credit for this course, but that request is outstanding as of publishing.
We hope to see you there!
