Human Trafficking Training

The Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program is hosting a training of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem.

Join us on Thursday, April 25 or Friday, April 26, 2013 at our offices for human trafficking continuing education training.

Tyson Elliott, Human Trafficking Director for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, will provide the training and answer your questions. The following topics will be covered in the course.

  • Tips for identifying and helping trafficking victims
  • Screening questions to assess whether your child is a victim of trafficking
  • Understanding the mindset of a human trafficking victim
  • Communicating with a victim of human trafficking

Friday's session will include additional details regarding legal and immigration issues as well as victim services.

Attendees will be awarded two (2) or three (3) hours of continuing education credit. Remember, you can report your hours online quickly and easily.
