The Advanced Skills Course continuing education series provides an opportunity for current volunteer guardians ad litem to review and refresh their knowledge and skills.

Join us on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 for Advanced Skills Course Session 1: Court Procedure and the Volunteer's Role.

Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program Volunteer Supervisor Angela Still and Program Attorney Antoneia Roe will conduct the hour-and-a-half-long class.

The curriculum will provide volunteers with an understanding of the procedure involved when a case has a court date. Guidance to volunteers on their role in the process, including talking to a child prior to their first experience in court, will also be provided.

Attendees will be awarded one-and-a-half hours (1.5) hours of continuing education credit. Remember, you can report your hours online quickly and easily.

You must register by Monday, January 7, 2013 to attend.

The training is free. You can download the official flyer and register with the event contact below.

We hope to see you there!
