Uptown Cares, the philanthropic venture of Uptown Café and Catering, welcomes Child Advocates II, Inc. and the Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program for the Uptown Cares Day fundraising event.
To participate, simply dine at Uptown Café on Saturday, November 10, 2012 and a portion of the day's sales will be donated to Child Advocates II in support of our program.
Uptown Café will serve breakfast from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM and lunch from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Raffle tickets will also be on sale for $1.00 for a chance to win one of their popular apple and hickory wood cured smoked salmon with apricot glaze, the proceeds of which will be donated to Child Advocates II.
In addition, Uptown Café will have donation jars around the restaurant the week prior to the event just in case you cannot make it on Saturday.
Established in 2011, Uptown Cares was created so the staff "can learn about philanthropy and become educated and engaged in the local community." Uptown Cares Day is held on the second Saturday of the month to bring awareness and funds to local not-for-profit organizations.
