Section 504 Plan: From Referral to Placement

The Parents of the Panhandle Information Network and the Second Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program are hosting a continuing education training of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem, staff, parents and teachers.

Join us on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at our offices on Thomasville Road for Section 504 Plan: From Referral to Placement.

Every educator and parent of a child enrolled in the public school system should understand the purpose, procedures and requirements of a Section 504 plan, protecting students with disabilities. Participants will review the referral, evaluation, eligibility and accommodation processes as well as learn how to develop and implement a Section 504 plan.

The training will be presented by Kathy Powell, Program Director of the Parents of the Panhandle Information Network, a program of the Family Network on Disabilities.

Participants may receive two (2) hours of continuing education credit. Afterward, report your hours quickly and easily using our eForm.
