The Florida Association for Play Therapy is hosting a training of interest to volunteer guardians ad litem.
Join presenter Dr. Sandy Barlow on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for Play Therapy and Intimate Partner Violence training.
Participants will be provided with
- a sense of the child's experience of intimate partner violence and an understanding of developmental interruptions that can result;
- a thorough understanding of how child-centered play therapy is used to effectively treat children exposed to intimate partner violence; and
- the ability to identify and understand the goals of treatment as they relate to intimate partner violence and child-centered play therapy.
The training is $15 for Association for Play Therapy members and students; $30 for non-members and non-students; and $35 at the door. Download the official flyer for additional details and the registration form.
